Who Will Make 2010 Super Bowl in Miami?
Well, it’s going to be very hard not to make a case for the 3-time Super Bowl Champion New England Patriots coming out of the AFC East Division, especially with 2-time Super Bowl MVP Tom Brady back under the helm. Although, the Miami Dolphins have extra motivation this year of having the opportunity to play in their home stadium on the biggest stage in all of football, the Super Bowl.
Look for the Pittsburgh Steelers to have a very strong showing in the AFC North Division. Don’t think for a second they won’t be coming out fighting to defend their Super Bowl Title, and maintaining their reputation of having the most Super Bowl rings and Vince Lombardi trophies, 7 total, in NFL history. I foresee the Patriots and Steelers battling it out in the AFC Championship game, with the Patriots kicking a game winning field goal in the closing seconds.
As for the NFC, it’s hard not to take a close look at the Minnesota Vikings with the addition of the greatest quarterback to ever play the game, Brett Favre. With Farve under center, the Vikings offense will completely open up, giving arguably the current best running back in all of football, Adrian Peterson, more dynamite to explode through the defensive lines and secondary backs. Also, you can guarantee I will be betting on football Week 4 when the Vikings play the Packers on Monday Night.
With the Vikings coming out of the NFC North Division, look for Eli Manning and the New York Giants out of the NFC East Division. Last year it was amazing not to see one of the Manning brothers playing in any of the championship games, or Super Bowl for that matter. However, with the Giants’ hard hitting defense and Eli’s eye for precision, I expect them to go a long way in this year’s playoff. If I were to place my bets on the NFC Championship game, I would predict the Vikings over the Giants by 10 points. Brett Farve will be too much to handle for the Giants defense, and remember, he is playing for redemption.
For a quick complete recap on who I think will make the playoffs from each division and advance on to become Super Bowl XLIV Champions:
* AFC East – New England Patriots; AFC North – Pittsburgh Steelers; AFC South – Indianapolis Colts; AFC West – San Diego Chargers; AFC Wild Card – Miami Dolphins and Baltimore Ravens.
* NFC East – New York Giants; NFC North – Minnesota Vikings; NFC South – New Orleans Saints; NFC West – Arizona Cardinals; NFC Wild Card – Chicago Bears and Philadelphia Eagles
* AFC Championship Game – New England Patriots vs. Pittsburgh Steelers
* NFC Championship Game – Minnesota Vikings vs. New York Giants
* Super Bowl – New England Patriots vs. Minnesota Vikings
* Super Bowl XLIV Champions – New England Patriots
No doubt about it, this year’s NFL season is going to be extremely exciting and a year to remember. Brett Favre coming back out of retirement to play for the Minnesota Vikings and complete against their long time rival, and his former Green Bay Packer Cheese-Heads. Along with Tom Brady being healthy again to recreate the Brady-Moss weapon, and to see how Michael Vick reacts and performs during this NFL season. Watch the culmination of this year’s season on CBS Sports at Dolphin Stadium to see who ends up on top, winning Super Bowl XLIV.
