Tiger Woods Wins Arnold Palmer Invitational
Tiger Woods win his first PGA TOUR golf tournament, the Arnold Palmer Invitational, since the BMW Championship in 2009. Well, it’s been a long time coming for those loyal Tiger Woods golf fans to see him lift another PGA TOUR trophy, but it was well worth the wait!
Tiger Woods played in last week’s PGA TOUR Arnold Palmer Invitational, and won by an impressive 5 shots over Graeme McDowell at the Bay Hill Golf & Lodge. Tiger played very solid the entire final round on Sunday, which is the day he has been struggling in the past. Typically of recent, Tiger has played extremely well the first 3 days, but always seemed to struggle on Sunday to seal the deal although he did shout a career low round of 62 on Sunday at the Honda Classic. But, however you want to look at it, Tiger finally won an official PGA TOUR golf tournament and he did it in style!
With Tiger winning at Bay Hill, he has once again put himself in the top 10 world golf rankings. He is now ranked #8 in the world, after falling to a low of 51st in the world I believe. For those who read my Arnold Palmer Invitational golf picks article, wouldn’t have been surprised to see him in the winning circle. When I wrote the article well before the tournament even started, I had a feeling this was finally going to be his week, and I also predicted him winning The Masters as well, guess we shall see. In my opinion, Tiger’s game is now back and I predict him winning 2 Majors this year, and 5 other PGA TOUR tournaments. This is going to be the most exciting year in golf in recent memory, with the Tiger Comeback!
