Tiger + 2012 Majors = 0
Odds are, Tiger will win another golf Major Championship. In reality, Tiger should win another Major, but will he? Tiger has not won a Major in four years, although he has come close several times, especially this year in 2012. Tiger finally did break through this year winning an official PGA TOUR golf tournament, he has won three so far this year with the playoff events still to come.
My Predictions are as Follows:
- If Tiger does not win a Major in 2013, he will finish his career with 15 Major Championships. If you do the math that is only 1 Major for the remaining of his career since he is currently at 14 Majors.
- If Tiger Woods wins a golf Major in 2013, he will finish his career with 19-20 Majors, leaning towards 19, which would surpass Jack Nicklaus’ record of 18 Major Championships. Then, Tiger would be hands down the greatest professional golfer of all time.
- If Mr. Woods does not win a Major in 2013 or 2014, he won’t win another Major again for the remainder of his career. He will finish his career at 14 Majors, won’t be considered the greatest golfer of all-time, and will be tagged as “what if/what could have been”. His name would be more closely related to Bobby Jones then Jack Nicklaus.
Again, these are just my predictions so take it with a grain of salt. My personal opinion is Tiger Woods will win 1-2 Majors in 2013 and will get to 19-20 by the end of his career. I hope that comes true because he has done so much for the Game of Golf. But, I’m sure the personal pressure is mounting more and more each time he fails to win another Major. He might not put that much personal pressure on himself during regular PGA TOUR tournaments, but I’m sure it’s different for the Majors.
Time will tell!
