Pre-Game:
This could easily be a great in-division game. The Colts and Texans are #1 and #2 in the AFC South. I think everyone is a little surprised to see the Colts undefeated going into Week 9, as well as the Texans only having three loses thus far. Indianapolis won a close game last week at home against the 49ers, only beating them 18-14. Houston played a great game against the Bills at Buffalo, winning 31-10. If the Texans defense can play a great game throughout this game, watch out Colts.
Texans:
The Texans have been playing surprisingly well this year, which is great for their franchise and city after several not-so-good years. Houston’s most impressive stat is their passing yards per game at 281.5, which ranks them 3rd in the NFL. Unfortunately, the Colts are ranked #1 in that category. Again, if the Texans’ defense can step it up and pressure Manning, they have a chance.
Colts:
It’s great to be a Colts fan for those who are. 7-0! The Saints are the only other team in the NFL with an undefeated record. Payton Manning has been having a terrific year and is on pace to be the NFL MVP, and lead their team to a Super Bowl Title. However, don’t get too excited because they almost lost last week, and they will lose before the playoffs arrive. With all the off-season changes and distractions that happened, I think even the biggest die-hard Colts’ fans are surprised to see them 7-0.
Texans vs Colts Prediction:
The main reason why the Colts are going to win this game is because of their home field advantage. Be sure to search for the best odds at the top betting websites for this game. If this game were being played at Houston, it wouldn’t surprise me if the Colts got their first lost. But that isn’t the case this go around. Payton Manning and their prolific offense will be too much to handle for the Texans’ defense. I am a little surprised by the wide margin spread for this game, but I foresee a high scoring game with the Colts edging by the point spread.
