Spurs Sweep Clippers
The San Antonio Spurs are the hottest team in the NBA Playoffs with an 8-0 record. The Spurs swept the Utah Jazz in the first round of the playoffs, 4-0, and they just made another clean sweep against the Los Angeles Clippers, 4-0. Will San Antonio lose a game?
The Spurs have had an outstanding NBA season so far, both in the regular season and post season. They entered the playoffs as a #1 seed, and have yet to lose a game! San Antonio literally man handled the Clippers in the second round of the playoffs, winning 108-92 in Game 1, 105-88 Game 2, 96-86 Game 3, and 102-99 in Game 4. The Spurs completely blew out the Clippers in the first 2 games at home, and the only really close game of the series was Game 4 which was held in Los Angeles.
To answer the question above, yes, the Spurs will lose a game and it most likely will be in the third round. The Oklahoma City Thunder is up 3 games to 1 against the Los Angeles Lakers, and it appears they will be advancing to the third round to face-off against the Spurs. The Thunder are an explosive team and I predict the Spurs vs Thunder matchup to be very entertaining. I foresee this series going the distance to Game 7 with the Spurs coming out on top to play in another NBA Finals. The Spurs are just playing too good of basketball right now not to continue the journey.
The Lakers are still a very solid basketball team and they are giving the Thunder all they can handle. Oklahoma City has been squeaking out victories winning by 3 points or less other than Game 1. In my opinion, the shortened NBA season this year has benefited the Spurs to keep their veteran players, like Tim Duncan, energized. If Chris Bosh comes back healthy for the Miami Heat in the third round of the playoffs, we could easily see a Spurs vs Heat NBA Finals.
