Pacers Star Paul George Slapped with Paternity Suit
An ex-stripper has filed a paternity suit against Indian Pacers NBA star, Paul George, claiming he is the father of her new-born daughter. 24-year-old Daniela Rajic filed the suit in the Manhattan Family Court this week, although it has been reported in the media that Paul George is ready to step up and take responsibility for the child if DNA testing proves it is his.
Earlier this year, it was reported that George got Rajic pregnant after meeting her at a yacht party last summer. He allegedly offered her $1 million “not to move forward with the pregnancy”, which she turned down. At the time of finding out that he was due to be a papa, George was dating Callie Rivers, daughter of Clippers coach Don Rivers, a relationship which is still going strong, despite the current drama.
When news broke that Rajic was pregnant, George issued a statement saying: “If and when there is legal confirmation that I am the father, I will fully embrace my responsibilities,. This is a personal matter that is still being sorted out, so I hope you can respect my privacy.”
A spokesman for the star also denied the rumors about the abortion offer. “There is no truth to the rumors that Paul offered money for Daniela not to have the child,” he said.
After playing two seasons of college basketball at Fresnon State, 24 year old Paul was drafted to the Indiana Paces as the 10th overall pick of the NBA draft in 2010. Three years later, he was chosen to play in his first NBA All-Star game and won a number of awards, including the NBA Most Improved Player Award. He was named to the All-NBA Third Team.
