Bodo Joins the Party

Party Poker has announced that it has signed up another player to its grassroots team, joining a number of professionals who represent the online poker room with pride at land based tournaments around the world.

Bodo Sbrzesny, who was well known for a number of years as a semi professional tennis player, and who defines himself as a professional video gamer, has been snapped up by Party Poker to represent the poker room.

Sbrzesny, who goes under the avatar name Bodo_Feels_It, first caught the poker room’s attention after he appeared in PartyPoker.com Poker Den: The Big Game III.

Bodo’s fighting spirit and panache for the game shone through as he played against some of the industry’s top names in the tournament, after winning a rake race that awarded him a seat to the TV show and a bankroll of $20K.

Representing Party Poker at live tournaments will be a change from Bodo’s traditional career as player and coach, but he is certainly looking forward to the challenge.

“I am really happy to have got a deal”, said Bodo. “I have always been loyal to Party and I’m thrilled I get to play in big live events around the world with it. The chance to feature in many of Party’s big televised events was also very attractive to me. I really have little experience playing live – I’ve stuck to playing online and started by playing limit online four years ago.”

Sbrzesny will be joining another two players on the Party Poker team, Ian Frazer and Felip “Mojave” Ramos.

The latter took his place on the team after his contract with Best Poker ended exactly a year ago. Ramos represents Party Poker on the Latin American circuit, where he is doing extremely well.

Ian Frazer, a regular Party Poker player, is more experienced, having grabbed another of top titles, including the European Open, the UK Open and several World Series of Poker cashes.

Frazer will be heading to Macau soon after winning a package to attend the Asian Poker Tour Macau.
