Sharapova All Dressed for Wimbledon to Face Williams

The most prestigious tennis tournament is set to launch in Wimbledon on June 24th and the stars of the court are already bracing themselves for some of the toughest competition to happen on the grass courts.  At least one one player, however, is keen to make sure that she looks as good as she plays, with the world’s number 3, Maria Sharapova tweeting pictures of the little white Nike dress she intends wearing to Wimbledon.

Sharapova is probably psyching herself up as she plans to meet her nemesis, Serena Williams who beat her at the French Open recently.

Sports analysts believe that Williams is “in her moment”, on an incredible wave of success and practically unstoppable.

“If Serena Williams was unstoppable on her worst surface, how dangerous will she be on her best?” commented analyst Lindsay Gibbs. “I just can’t see anyone stopping her the way she is playing. She’s got so much momentum and confidence right now that it’s hard to see her stopping her domination anytime soon.”

Sharapova will be keen to break a 13 run loss against Williams.  Many believed that she’d smash her bad luck against the number one seed on the clay courts of the French Open since it is is Williams’ least favored surface, however even that wasn’t enough for the defending champion to keep her crown.

Nike, which sponsors some of the biggest names in the tennis world, also rolled out the outfits that some of its other stars would wear, including Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal.   Williams, by the way, is also a Nike sponsored player and it will be interesting to see how the two woman shape up against each other in terms of tennis and tennis wear on the courts, starting June 24th.
