Prediction:
Ravens Don’t Beat the Point Spread and I Take the Under

Location:
Baltimore, Maryland

Date:
Sunday January 6, 2012 at 1:00pm Eastern Time

Indianapolis Colts:
The Colts couldn’t have asked for a better season, and couldn’t have asked more from rookie quarterback standout Andrew Luck. To go from a last place team one year to a playoff team the following year is an astonishing feet, let along doing that all with a rookie quarterback. Indianapolis has lots of momentum going into this game, but will their offense be enough to overcome the emotional Ravens defense?

Baltimore Ravens:
Although the Ravens don’t have a better record than the Colts they are the favorite in this game. Baltimore will have home field advantage along with the return of future Hall of Famer Ray Lewis who announced he will be retiring after this season. Lewis has been the leader and face of this franchise throughout this long career, and the team will be fighting that much harder every game just to try and get Ray back to the Super Bowl one last time.

Game Prediction:
In my opinion, this AFC Wild Card matchup with the Colts and Ravens will be closer than anticipated. The Ravens are currently a 7 point favorite but I just don’t think I see them winning by more than a touchdown. Although I don’t foresee the Colts winning this game, I think Baltimore will win by 6 points or less. I feel the Ravens defense will be too much for rookie quarterback Luck along with his lack of NFL playoff experience. With that all being said I predict the Ravens winning this game, not beating the point spread, and I take the under.
