World Golf Match Play Championship Golf Picks:
Last year, Luke Donald won this great championship golf tournament to pave the way for his #1 golf ranking in the world. With that being said, and the current #1 player still in the world of golf, it’s hard to bet against Luke. However, there are other players in the field that will be fighting to take over that number 1 spot.
With red-hot Phil Mickelson not in the field, and other than Luke Donald, I like Dustin Johnson, Tiger Woods, and Rory McIlroy. Rory definitely has the easiest road to the semifinals if you look at the brackets and if Dustin Johnson can beat Jim Furyk in the first round, which will be a tough match, I like his chances with his distance on this long golf course. And lastly, Tiger Woods, who I do think will win the tournament although his is still very unpredictable. If Tiger goes out early, I think it will be several months until he wins on the PGA TOUR, but if he wins this golf tournament look out! I predict him winning 1-2 Major Championships and an additional 4-5 PGA TOUR tournaments in 2012.
