New York Giants:
Quarterback Eli Manning and the New York Giants are showing extremely similar strides this year compared to when they won the Super Bowl a few years back. They barely made the playoffs with a 9-7 record and have continued to beat great teams throughout the playoffs as underdogs. People might now start giving Eli the credit he deserves, and start realizing he is the better quarterback (especially in the playoffs where it counts) in the Manning family. The Giants squeezed out a victory last week against the San Francisco 49ers, winning 20-17.
New England Patriots:
Unlike the Giants, the New England Patriots have had a great and consistent regular season and playoff run. Tom Brady is truly one of the best quarterback to ever play in the NFL, and is on the verge of winning another Super Bowl ring. The Patriots are no doubt the hottest team in the league with a 10 game winning streak. Although the Giants are running very hot at the moment as well, it’s going to be awful tough for them to stop the Patriots. New England beat the Ravens in a tough fought battle last week, beating them 23-20.
New York Giants vs New England Patriots Prediction:
Both the New York Giants and the New England Patriots will be leaving nothing on the table for the highly anticipated Super Bowl XLVI game. I’m a little surprised to see the betting odds of this game so evenly matched, since I think the Giants matchup so poorly against the Patriots. In my opinion, the Giants defense isn’t strong enough to stop the Patriots offense and I don’t foresee Eli scoring more points than Brady. However, I’m sure this game will be closer than we all anticipate, but in the end the Patriots win in a high scoring game.
