Minnesota Vikings:
The Vikings are a much better team than people think over the past few years and they finally proved it to everyone this year. They have so much talent and it was surprising to see them struggle in the last few NFL season. Nonetheless, they made it to the post season this year by winning the last game of the regular season against the Packers. It’s been incredible to watch Adrian Peterson this year after coming off such a bad injury. He was a measly 9-yards short of breaking Eric Dickerson’s all time regular season rushing record, and has ran for 208 yards and 199 yards against Green Bay the last two meetings.
Green Bay Packers:
Although the Packers last the last game of the year to the Vikings which would have given them a first round bye, they are still one of the top two teams in the entire NFC. Aaron Rodgers had another great year, and I don’t see the Pack having too much trouble with the Vikings since its being played on their home turf. However, they need to at least maintain Adrian Peterson and not let him rush for 200 yards. If they don’t the Vikings could have a very good chance at winning with the temperatures being so cold which will keep the ball out of Aaron Rodgers hand more.
Game Prediction:
The Minnesota Vikings and Green Bay Packers will be playing one another for the third time over their last six games in the first round of the NFL Playoffs. Of all the first round playoff games the biggest spread is in this game, favoring Green Bay by 7.5 points. The Packers should win this game but a few reasons on how the Vikings could win would be winning the turnover battle, being out coached by mixing up their normal defensive and offensive game plans, or by completely dominating the run game due to the cold weather. In the end, I do predict the Packers to win this game, beat the point spread, and I take the under.
