2012 Baltimore Ravens vs Philadelphia Eagles Game Prediction

The Ravens vs Eagles is the game of the week in my opinion for Week 2 in the NFL. Both teams won their first game of the regular season, but after this game one team will no longer be undefeated. I foresee both these teams having a great year and going far in the post season, which makes this game that much more exciting to watch.

Baltimore Ravens:
The Ravens are looking better than ever in my opinion. Remember, they were about one pass/interception away last year from making it to the Super Bowl. This year, they are a better team as a whole, which should be very scary for all teams they face. If their defense can remain as strong as it has in the past, look out because their offense has stepped it up a few notches. They easily defeated the Bengals last week, beating them 44-13.

Philadelphia Eagles:
Although the Eagles got off to a shaky start in Week 1 of the regular season, I still think they are the most talented team in the NFL. Now, that doesn’t mean much if they don’t put it together collectively since they have so many individual standouts. They did win last week against the Browns, 17-16 in Cleveland, although many didn’t predict it being that close of a game. The Eagles will regroup and show a strong performance this week against the Ravens.

Game Prediction:
This is going to be a very tight game, and could go down to a game winning field goal as time expires. I’m giving the nod to the Eagles, mainly because it’s being played on their home turf in Philadelphia. Both these teams won’t have many losses throughout the year, but unfortunately one of them is going to have a 1-1 record going into Week 3. Eagles beat the spread in a high scoring game.
