2012 NCAA March Madness

The 2012 NCAA College Basketball March Madness has finally arrived! This is a very exciting time for all those sports fans out there, especially those that are passionate about college athletics and basketball in general.

This is the time of year where people are filling out their NCAA basketball brackets, and entering them into betting pools whether it is at the business office, with friends or at your favorite online sports bookmaker. No matter what the prize is, bragging rights or thousands of dollars, it creates excitement in the sports world.

Now, regarding the brackets and games themselves, everyone has a favorite pick winning the whole thing. As like the past several years, there are so many teams that could win the NCAA National Championship which will cause madness and broken brackets once again. In my opinion, any of the top 12 ranked teams at the end of the year has a very legitimate chance at running the table. Usually, there are only about 2-4 teams that have a realistic chance at winning the title, but not this year!

As for who I like in this year’s NCAA tournament, well, I feel good about North Carolina, Missouri, and Michigan State. My next three picks would be Kansas, Syracuse and Kentucky, but I really don’t think Syracuse or Kentucky will win this year even thought they are the #1 and #2 ranked teams after this year’s college basketball season. The reasoning is that Kentucky is just too young of a team to win it all this year and Syracuse has been struggling as of late.

For the sleepers this year, it wouldn’t surprise me if Florida State makes it to the championship game, and I predict N.C. State making some major upsets along the way.

Best of luck for this year, and below are the betting odds for the top 5 teams to win the 2012 NCAA College Basketball National Championship.
