British Open Prediction:
The British Open, or as other call it the Open Championship, is always very exciting and entertaining to watch. It’s the only Major of the four not played in the United States, it’s across the pond in Europe. It’s definitely a different type of golf with most courses being links style, lots of bunkers, very tall grass, wind, cool conditions and lots of rain. It seems like it’s more about who can keep their emotions in check rather than hitting the golf ball.
Only a few names stick out that I feel will win this championship; Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson and Sergio Garcia would be my first 3 picks. Although, I wouldn’t be surprised if Luke Donald, Lee Westwood or Dustin Johnson held up the trophy on Sunday.
Tiger is so very close to winning his 15th Major, and this could be the time to get back on track. Phil was runner-up in last year’s British Open, so I see him playing well especially after shooting 65-64 last week in the Scottish Open on Friday and Saturday. And Sergio’s game is the best it has been in years, and he has come so close on several occasions at the British Open.
