2011 Jacksonville Jaguars vs Atlanta Falcons

The Jacksonville Jaguars will be traveling to Georgia to face-off against the Atlanta Falcons for this week’s Thursday Night Football game. Both teams are coming off a win last week, the Jaguars defeating the Bucs in a 41-14 blow-out, and the Falcons beating the Panthers 31-23 in Carolina. The Falcons have more to play for in search of a playoff spot, but this still will be a great game to watch.

Jacksonville Jaguars:
The Jacksonville Jaguars are coming off an impressive win last week at home, destroying the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 41-14. The Jaguars have been struggling all year on the offensive side, but the tide definitely turned last week. The new Interim Coach might have had something to do with that, but we will see if he can continue the great offense against the Falcons, led by NFL leading rusher Maurice Jones-Drew.

Atlanta Falcons:
The Atlanta Falcons have had somewhat of an up and down year thus far, but nonetheless, they are still in great contention to make the playoffs. They are 2 games behind the New Orleans Saints in their division, so they still have hopes in winning the division but will need some help from other teams in beating the Saints which isn’t easy to do.

Jacksonville Jaguars vs Atlanta Falcons Prediction:
The top betting websites are heavily favoring the Falcons, but if the Jacksonville Jaguars played like they did last week against the Bucs, they will have a great chance at winning. I’m sure the new owner of the Jaguars was excited about last week’s showing, and hopes to continue the strong play. Maurice Jones-Drew has been dominating the rushing game and leads the league in rushing yards. Although the Jaguars played great last week, I still think the home field advantage for the Falcons will result them in winning a close game.

Prediction:
Atlanta Falcons Don’t Beat Point Spread and I Take Over
