The Honda Classic Review:
The Honda Classic is this weeks stop on the PGA TOUR. It is being played on another Jack Nicklaus masterpiece design which includes the “Bear Trap” on holes #15, #16, #17, arguably the 3 toughest hole stretch on the PGA TOUR. This tournament will most likely be won or lost on those three terrifying holes.

Y.E. Yang won this event last year in 2009, his first career PGA TOUR victory at the time. Who would have guessed a few months later this same player would be the only one who has overcome Tiger’s dominance in Major golf, the PGA Championship in which Yang defeated Tiger on Sunday.

The Honda Classic also marks the beginning of the “Florida Swing”. For four straight weeks the players will be calling Florida home, at least for those who don’t already call Florida home. The first stop is in Plam Beach, then Miami, over to Tampa Bay, and finishing up at Arnie’s event in Orlando. Should be an exciting month of golf in the Sunshine State!

The betting odds are listed below, but I would look for Ernie Els, Camilo Villegas, and young standout Rickie Fowler to play well this week. Ernie and Camilo live close to PGA National, and know how to play well on Bermuda grass. Rickie is just an amazing talent and finished second last week for the second time as a PGA TOUR Professional at just 21 years of age. He has a very, very bright future ahead of him in professional golf.
