Phoenix Suns:
The Phoenix Suns are playing some of the best basketball in the NBA currently. They just swept the San Antonio Spurs in Round 2 of the Playoffs, I don’t think anybody saw a sweep coming in that series. The Suns have struggled against the Lakers during the regular season, losing 3 of 4 games I believe. However, Phoenix is playing awful hot basketball now, and we will see what they can do against the defending champions.
Los Angeles Lakers:
The Los Angeles Lakers are red hot as well, and also swept their opponents in Round 2 of the Playoffs just like the Suns did. They defeated the Utah Jazz in 4 straight games. Unlike the Suns, the Lakers were more likely to sweep their opponent in Round 2, since they are the defending champions in the NBA. Kobe Bryant is playing outstanding post-season basketball, as he should be, and is looking to lead his team to a second straight title.
Phoenix Suns vs Los Angeles Lakers Prediction:
In my opinion, this series will be closer than most people think. Everyone thinks the Lakers are going to steam roll the Suns, but I don’t see that being the case. Amare Stoudemire and Steve Nash are great players and a great duo that will give the Lakers some major headaches. The only thing I am worried about the Suns is their lack of size advantage against the Lakers. Los Angeles’ team has too much size advantage which will allow the Lakers to control this playoff series. Although I will be taking a close look at point spreads throughout this series at the top basketball betting sites, I do predict in Game 1 the Lakers will win at home and beat the point spread in a high scoring game.
