Los Angeles Lakers:
The Los Angeles Lakers lost Game 4 to the Boston Celtics, 96-89, tying the series 2-2. It was a pretty close game for the most part until the end of the 4th quarter where the Celtics made the big plays on offense, and more importantly, defense. Kobe Bryant needs the rest of his team to step-up and play more consistently day in and day out, he cannot win the Lakers a championship on his own.
Boston Celtics:
The Boston Celtics played a much better game like they did in Game 2. Boston needs to continue this great play, and Game 5 is another must win for them. If they lose Game 5, it is going to be extremely difficult to win the last 2 games in Los Angeles. Also, to be honest, the Celtics bench won Game 4 for their team. Their bench players played most of the 4th quarter, and their was no need to bring in the stars when they continued to widen the lead.
Los Angeles Lakers vs Boston Celtics Prediction:
The Boston Celtics have tied the series with the Los Angeles Lakers 2 games a piece. In my opinion, Game 5 will be the most emotional and pivotal game thus far and probably in the entire series. I predict it being very close, Celtics by 4 points, in another low scoring game in Boston.
For the Lakers to win Game 5, Kobe needs support from the rest of his team. They need to play consistent on offense and defense. For the Celtics to win, they need to shut down Kobe and continue to play great defense in the paint. I still don’t like Ray Allen guarding Kobe if I was a Boston fan, and Kevin Garnett needs more touches down low. Whatever happens, I know I will be watching Game 5 which is anticipated to be what the NBA Finals are all about.
