2010 Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial Review:
This weeks PGA TOUR golf tournament is the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial, the last stop of three consecutive PGA TOUR events in Texas. Steve Stricker was the 2009 champion and looking to defend his title this week.

The venue is at Colonial Country Club which has a long history with golf, the PGA TOUR and Ben Hogan. Many of the best professional golfers in the world make this an annual stop for its rich history and strong ties to one of the greatest golfers to ever play the game, Ben Hogan.

Phil Mickelson is also in the field this week and the highest ranked player in the field at #2 in the world. Phil has a chance to take over the #1 ranking spot, over Tiger Woods, this week with a win. I do really like Mickelson’s chances in winning along with Jim Furyk. It sounds silly for me to pick those 2 as my only picks this week since they are the 2 favorites, but I don’t have any other heavy favorites this week. If I had to pick a third, Hunter Mahan’s game fits this course well. Either way, this should be an exciting week for the PGA TOUR in preparation for Jack Nicklaus’ tournament next week at Muirfield.
