Boston Celtics:
The Boston Celtics won a crucial game last night against the Los Angels Lakers, 92-86 at home. The Celtics are now up 3-2 in the series and the next two games will be played in Los Angeles.
In my opinion, this was the best game played by the Celtics in the NBA Finals thus far. The “Big 4” players for Boston all played the way they should and are expected to play. Other than Ray Allen still struggling on defense against Kobe Bryant, the Celtics played almost flawless basketball. If Boston can play like they did in Game 5 in Game 6, the Celtics will be the 2010 NBA Champions.
Los Angeles Lakers:
The Los Angeles Lakers struggled again in Game 5, more on offense than defense. Again, Kobe Bryant played a great game but cannot win an NBA Championship on his own. Gusol, Odem, and Bynum need to step it up and play like they did in the regular season and early post season. They need to be much more aggressive on offense and on defense. Basically, they are just getting completely out played by the Celtics and they need to adjust their aggressiveness.
Boston Celtics vs Los Angeles Lakers Prediction:
The Boston Celtics have out shined the Los Angeles Lakers in the last two games. Game 6 is a do or die situation for the Lakers. If they lose, hand the trophy to the Celtics, if they win they will see Game 7. I will admit this NBA Final has had the worst officiating I have ever seen, and it’s unfortunate for all NBA fans. However, it has not been lopsided officiating favoring 1 team, it has just been annoying.
As I predicted before this series started we would see a Game 7. Be sure to check your favorite betting websites for odds on this game. I still favor my prediction and the Lakers will win Game 6. It is extremely tough for any team to beat another 3 games in a row, regardless of what team you are especially when you are the Lakers. Los Angeles beats the point spread in a high scoring game.
