The Boston Celtics lost Game 6 against the Lakers, 89-67, in Los Angeles. To me, I was very surprised in how poorly the Celtics played on both offense and defense. Boston’s Head Coach Doc Rivers must be extremely embarrassed on how their team performed in having a chance to be NBA Champions. Basically, the Lakers completely just outplayed the Celtics in every aspect.
Los Angeles Lakers:
The Los Angeles Lakers played outstanding basketball in Game 6. If they continue playing the way they did in Game 7 they are unbeatable. They did everything right to get back on track, Gusol played more aggressively, Artest played better defense and took more shots, Odem and Bynum contributed much more on offense and defense, and Kobe continued to play like a leader of the team.
Boston Celtics vs Los Angeles Lakers Prediction:
The Los Angeles Lakers completely dominated the Boston Celtics in Game 6, winning by an astonishing 22 points and holding the Celtics to a measly 67 points. Now, before this series started I predicted the Celtics winning in 7 games. Well, I have to admit I am a little worried now on the Celtics winning Game 7 after the Lakers just rolled them over. The Lakers will be playing with so much confidence now going into the final do-or-die game. If the Lakers would have won by 8 or 9 points it would have been much easier for me to predict the Celtics to win Game 7, but now it’s much more interesting.
With all that being said, the Celtics do have a lot of veteran players on their team and did win this championship 2 years ago with the same starting players. Boston will regroup, erase Game 6 from their memories, and will find a way to win Game 7 and become world champions. Celtics win, beat the point spread listed at online betting websites, in another lower scoring game than anticipated.
